Burnbank Systems Wins National Innovation in Healthcare Award at Ehealth Insider Awards 2010

The Ehealth Insider awards were held at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London on 6th October 2010. Burnbank Systems' Image Exchange Portal was shortlisted for the Innovation in Healthcare Interoperability award, one of eleven categories, judged on the following criteria:
- How your work has delivered measurable benefits
- How your work could be replicated elsewhere or scaled up
- How your work demonstrates fresh thinking
The Image Exchange Portal is a key development by Burnbank Systems for the vital process of medical image sharing. It has been developed and assured to provide a hosted system allowing the transfer of medical images and reports between UK healthcare organisations, supporting clinical networks and emergency and routine transfers via a single connection.

The system has been deployed in 168 hospitals and healthcare providers across England since January 2010 and significant benefits are already being realised for both hospital staff and patients.
